Great Movie! Hacksaw Ridge. True story in World War II

I strongly recommends this movie “Hacksaw Ridge”. Based on a true story, an american, Desmon Doss, wanted to serve the country during World War II.  Because of his Christian faith and promise to the Lord, he as a combat medic NEVER CARRY ANY WEAPON all the times even at the frontline of the battle field. And he miraculously saved 75 men during the battle.

This movie is directed by Mel Gibson.

Hacksaw Ridge storyline:

Desmond Doss was one of 16 million American men in uniform during World War II.  As a soldier he refused to kill or carry a weapon into combat because of his personal belief as a Seventh-day Adventist.  In fact, during the war his only weapons were his Bible and his faith in God.
Desmond Doss stood boldly on the rocky face of Hacksaw Ridge secure in his faith as the cries "medic" rang out on the battlefield.  He repeatedly ran into the heat of battle to treat the fallen comrades and carry them back to safety never considering his own safety. All this while enemy bullets whizzed past and mortar shells exploded around him.

He kept charging back towards the battle with a constant prayer on his lips. He vowed to rescue as many as he could, before he either collapsed or died trying. His iron determination and unflagging courage resulted in at least 75 lives saved on 5 May 1945.

As you watch this documentary, Desmond’s faith will challenge you to ask ‘Where do I stand’?
